lyrics
The rebellion had been crushed,
All hope, they said, was gone,
But in this dank, putrid room,
A new assassin was born!
Welcome, to my lair
You are awake, now be aware
My friend, you look vexed
You can call me Doctor Hex
You were taken in stealth, when the battle was lost
Escaping the blood, and away from the force
The rebellion crushed, our plans were all foiled
The blood of our brothers, still lies on the soil
But now you will rise
Bring death from the skies
Inside your back, the seeds have been sown
The world you have known, you will now disown
Our one true hope, you must bear the cross
Unfurl your wings, reborn Albatross
Destruction you'll bring
So warrior, take wing
Solo: Vignesh
Solo: Nishith
With your wings, bring us salvation
With your claws, an assassination
From your flight, a new order will rise
The Albatross, fear from the skies!
Solo: Nishith
Rise above, now ascend higher
We'll build today, our own empire
Through the pain, and friends that we've lost
We'll raise the sign...of Albatross!
Rectified Spirit again are doing something unique with the genre - mixing schools and influences from all over to create something that's absolutely refreshing and exciting. Albatross
Heavy metal with SITAR solos? That's right. And there really aren't more bands like this one. Their debut release is an absolute delight and a personal favourite. Albatross
Against Evil are the nation's favourite new band. Their CDs are already sold out but there's of course the digital format for people to explore great music from this side of the world! Albatross

Gaerea's first release of "Unsettling Whispers" was in 2018, and since, they dared define a "black metal" niche of their own, they dared to walk a new path and stir shit up a bit in the realm of BM, this album is a masterpiece and a milestone proving that it can be done, provided the band can pull it off, and they did, oh they did! Gloomy, dark, post-BM sludgy whatever, it's Gaerea, and this one belongs in my BC collection, the end. sachavonkarl74

Pretty much the best Black/Speed Metal I've listened to since I learned about Evil Invaders and Vulture. Everything you'd love to be reminded of about this musical era is there. The influences are what you'd expect too: Motörhead, Venom, Bathory, early Slayer, Celtic Frost; aggressive vocals, tortured guitar solos, pounding drums; everything is fast, clear and still a little grimy, but without reverb cranked up to the max. Amazing band, amazing album. Odiumediae
